By default, the php.ini distributed with MapGuide does not display errors.
 If you turn that on and recycle the app pool, you may get something more
meaningful than a 500.  Or not :)

I wonder if that code wasn't fully updated for the refactoring that was done
at 2.2 because of PHP.
