[mapguide-users] Problem with line breaks in properties fields

The presence of line breaks in property (string-)fields of SDF features is causing my browser to show an error message (unterminated string constant).
This happens when I click on a feature in the AJAX viewer. The properties of the feature are not being displayed.
Is there a solution to this problem (except eliminating all line breaks manually)? I remember this not being a problem in MGOS 2.1.
My system: MGOS 2.2 final, PHP installation; IE7; Win XP pro.
