What version of PHP are you using? Are you using PHP and fusion or AJAX?
If so unless you use the version of MGOS that supports PHP 5.3 it's not stable under IIS 7.

Subject: [mapguide-users] isapi_MapAgent.dll crashes MapGuideAppPool
Hi,
in the last days we've got quite problems with our application based on
MapGuideOpenSource 2.2 (Windows Server 2008 R2, 64Bit).
Periodically the MapGuideAppPool in IIS7.5 crashes. In Windows event.log
there is the following message:
*A process serving application pool 'MapGuideAppPool' suffered a fatal
communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service.* (Source =
WAS)
In Windows application.log I found that the cause of this message seems to
be a defect of the module: *isapi_MapAgent.dll, Version: 2.2.0.5703*
After five times getting this error the MapGuideAppPool is aborted. I think
this belongs to the default setting of the MapGuidAppPool:
If the same error occurs five times in a time span of 5 minutes the process
automatically shuts down.
In most cases a restart of the MapGuideAppPool in the IIS-Manager is
sufficient to get the application up and running. In some cases I can't
restart the pool in fact of a supposed running w3wp.exe-process. But there
is no process anymore and at last I have to restart the whole server.
I should also mention that there are no errors in other log files. Nor in
the IIS-Log neither in any of the MapGuide logs. Even in trace log with full
debugging enabled there is absolutely nothing at the time the error occurs.
I realized that this error has been thrown over the last 6 months but not in
this intensity that it leads to a crash. Maybe this has something to do with
the growing number of users who have access to our application.
As a workaround I changed the default settings of the MapGuideAppPool to 10
errors in 1 minute before aborting the pool. So, know I get only 1 crash per
day (before 10 per day).
Of course, this doesn't solve the initial problem.
Does anybody else get these windows warnings/errors mentioned above?
Or does anyone have any idea what could cause such an error and how to solve
it?
Maybe some extra settings for the application pool?
Thanks, Gunter
