I guess you refeer to http://mapguide.osgeo.org/sites/mapguide.osgeo.org/files/MgOpenSourceDevGuide.pdf ?

I looked at it and found a chapter called "Redlining". However, the text there uses PHP. And the example send information to a draw_line.php, which in turn uses common.php, layerdefinitionfactory.php and layer_functions.php.

I want something in ASP, does this exist?
Isn't there a simple MG command that just accepts two coordinates (x0y0, x1y1) and draws a line?

If you mean another sample, please point me in the right direction (a link would be helpful).

Yes it is. Look at the samples to see how it's done.
