Hi Martin,

The MapGuide Server daemon may not be starting successfully.  Do a "ps -auwx" to see if mgserver is in the process list.  If it is not, try adding the following directory as root "mkdir /var/lock/mgserver".  If adding the directory resolves the issue, please open a defect.

If this does not work, try running mgserver.sh.  There may be unresolved shared library references on Ubuntu 10 which are preventing the MapGuide server process from starting up.

Thank you Trevor, it runs with RC3

But now I "Cannot establish connection" with user Administrator and passwd admin (url: http://myipaddress/mapguide/mapadmin/login.php)

Any idea?

I try this with Ubuntu LTS 10.04...
