I will be making a beta release of the next version (3.5) soon which should
address this issue.

You could try an older release (2.x) of Maestro to see if it works there.

Otherwise, you will have to manually edit the WMS XML configuration document
(http://trac.osgeo.org/fdo/wiki/FdoWmsNotes), which is not pretty.
