have you

1. watched the videos
2. installed the server
3. installed a copy of maestro
4. opened maestro and logged into the server
5. create a feature source connection to postgres
6. create some layers which uses that feature source
7. add them to a map
8. create an application definition which references that map
9. open the link for the  application definition  in a browser
