If I am understanding you correctly, you want cartographic symbols?  This is
a fusion specific issue.  Here is some information on how to draw symbols in
Mapguide:

There is also a white paper out there from Autodesk called, Building Symbol
Libraries with Autodesk Mapguide Enterprise.  Do a search, and I am sure it
will come up on a website somewhere.
