Fusion automatically keeps sessions alive. 

AJAX Viewers also automatically keeps the session alive if your WebLayout is
using the 1.1.0 schema and the EnablePingServer property in the document is
set to true.

Otherwise you'll need to have some javascript code that regularly pings the
mapagent with the session id that needs to be kept alive.
