That use-case has not been tested :)

Any resource you're editing is a session-based copy of the original
site-based resource, so you're basically editing a session-based copy of a
session-based resource. But it should be okay, Maestro uses guids for
resource names for shadow copies so there shouldn't be the possibility of
the original resource being accidentally trampled over in your particular
case.
