Sure, this bug has been around for a long time.

Just make sure your overview map is in Latitude Longitude Coordinate System
(i.e. 4326)

The map will be fine until your turn off the Google/Bing/Yahoo/OSM layer,
then the overview map will stop working properly

You can only fight one battle at at time so start with the LL overview map.
