Hi Emma,

It's just that installing different releases of MapGuide via the windows
installer side-by-side is not a scenario we test for as we are not sure if
one installer may trample over another in terms of registry settings / IIS /
etc. 

That's why the InstantSetup bundle was conceived, so you can fully control
what configuration settings gets set and written where.

But it's good to know such a scenario worked for you.
