I don't think you can use POST to get the capabilities document.

As a workaround, you could try a wrapper PHP script that accepts POST which
internally does a "GET" for the MapGuide WMS capabilities document (via curl
or some other means) and returns back the requested content. Then just pass
the URL to the PHP script instead of the normal capabilities URL.
