[mapguide-users] Creating Symbol Library containing a PNG icon

I'm able now to select the Symbol Definition in the Composite Style Layer, but just after I select the icon, Maestro crashes immediately

If you want to use the simple symbol definitions (liek Rail or Trees in your example), you need to create the point as a Point Composite style layer.

How can I apply that Symbol Definition to a layer ?
When looking for symbols in the layer definition, it only shows Symbol Libraries but not symbol definitions

For instance Sheboygan Sample has four Symbol files on the folder, but only two of them are usable for Layers

Here is an example of a PNG inside of a point symbol.  This is an independent symbol definition.

I've tried with symbol definitions but they don't appear when trying to choose the icon from the Layer Definition, it seems layers can only consume Symbol Lribraries not Symbol Definitions
