Hi All,

I am pleased to announce the availability of MapGuide Open Source 4.0 Beta
1.

Refer to the release notes above for a summary of changes since the Preview
4 release.

I will be stepping away for the next few weeks to give some long-needed
attention to surrounding projects such as MapGuide Maestro and
mapguide-react-layout.

After that, it's back onto the 4.0 release train, driving it to its long
awaited final release destination (with at least one RC train stop along
the way). We're almost there!
