[mapguide-users] MGOS 4 update release

Hi David,

I am mostly confident that the next beta of MGOS 4.0 will drop sometime
next week. The key pieces (updating to PHP 8.3 and other various web
components) are done.

And as for the final release itself. I am going to lay a bold claim and say
that the final release will drop before October 14, 2025.

What is so significant about this date? It is the end-of-life date for
Windows 10, which is also the OS of my primary dev environment. I want to
seriously wrap things up before this date because when this date arrives I
will either bite the bullet and move to Windows 11 (ugh!) or fully commit
to Linux as my daily driver OS and will then have to set up a Windows VM in
order to continue to be able to produce MapGuide/FDO builds for windows.

Either way, I anticipate major upheaval to my dev environment around this
time period as I decide which path to take at this fork in the road, and I
want the 4.0 release to be out of the way before that happens.
