  The Windows font matching code used for the GD renderer was incorrectly assuming the ttf extension for all fonts. This was causing Type 1, OpenType and TrueTypeCollection fonts not to be used for font matching. Since some of the Japanese regional fonts are TTC, they were matched incorrectly and some Japanese strings were drawing as gibberish or blank squares.
