- Steps to Reproduce set to new value
1) Execute a GetMap request that includes a specific layer style, using the STYLES parameter. Currently, only default styles are supported, so specifying any string value ought to return a service exception. Before these changes, the STYLES parameter was simply ignored.
2) Execute WMS requests for GetCapabilities without specifying a FORMAT parameter, using the VERSION parameter to specify each of the VERSIONS 1.0.0, 1.1.0 and 1.1.1. Prior to these changes, all versions will return text/xml content. After these changes, the later two versions will return application/vnd.ogc.wms_xml.

These changes modify support for WMS requests so that:
1) Requests for unsupported layer styles return a service exception with error code "StyleNotDefined".
2) The default format returned for GetCapabilities is text/xml for version 1.0.0 requests, and application/vnd.ogc.wms_xml for 1.1.0 and 1.1.1 requests. Note that text/xml is still supported for 1.1.0 and 1.1.1 is explicitly requested using the FORMAT parameter.
