All URL to internal pages needs to be fully qualified with Mapguide path. External URLs should not. This submission distinguish external URLs with the presence of http:// and do not modify the URL in this case.

It is still strongly discouraged to put external pages in the task pane. Because poor behavior by all browsers with URL set with Javascript (especially on Firefox), clicking a link in an external page displayed in the task pane will leave the viewer application. This problem is know and documented and there are no universal solution to it.
