Antonio,
I applaud your efforts and desire to bring the MapGuide Open Source list
into a more user-friendly and manageable format. I personally prefer the
exact format that you have put together and pushed for this very early on
(during the MapServer Enterprise days, last November). But, if this change
occurs, I feel that it needs to be a group decision and driven by OSGeo.org
members rather than a splinter faction moving to a new format. This is to
minimize disparity between support mechanisms and to keep everything in one
place. I would not want to see information scattered around even more than
it is right now. As it is, we have some information in the old MapServer
Enterprise archive, the present mailing list (this list) and the Autodesk
mapguide.developer and mapguide.general discussion groups. On a side note,
the fact that Autodesk has not separated their MapGuide discussion groups
into the older 6.5 and below and the new MapGuide Enterprise is a pet-peeve
of mine as this only increases confusion by mixing topics for two completely
different platforms.

For now, using the Nabble interface
(http://www.nabble.com/OSGeo-MapGuide-f14845.html) in lieu of the email list
works okay since anything posted to Nabble is also sent out to the list and
anything sent to the list is posted to Nabble.
