Question about FDO

Hello,

the FDO technology is not used in MapGuide only – spatial data access in Autodesk Map, the GIS extension of AutoCAD, is also based on FDO.
Are the FDO providers, mentioned in the mailing list (e.g. for PostGIS), for MapGuide and Autodesk Map or are they limited to MapGuide (maybe due to technical reasons)?
Generally – are files of an FDO provider the same for MapGuide and Autodesk Map?  Is a provider developed for "FDO" or for "Map-FDO" and for "MapGuide FDO"?
