Request Timed out, while loading a shp

Hi all
I am trying loading a shp file which is approximately 4 mb , with dbf size 
8 MB using mapgudie studio, I have also checked the covert to sdf chekbox.
but i am unbale to load the data . I get a "Request timed out " error

I tried to increase the data connection properties in mapguide Administrator
.(though I am not sure whether it is right), but I still cannot load the
data

Please help
