Has anyone tested the stability of the new version yet?

Andy,

Thanks for the update. Let's hope the stability issues have been worked
out. Have a great vacation talk to you when you get back.

Chris

Hi Chris,

I may not install it on my production server for a couple of weeks. I'm
going on vacation next Wednesday for 10 days and don't think I'll have
enough time between now and then to install, configure and test. I also
don't want to risk installing it, going on vacation, and having it foul
up while I'm gone. I'll probably have it going on my development
machine today, though. But that isn't accessed heavily enough to know
if stability has increased.

Andy

Thanks for the Info.

Does anyone know if this version is going to be more stable? Andy have
you got to test it yet? Do you need to restart it every two hours like
you have in the past?

Chris

So MapGuide Enterprise & Studio the commercial versions are available
(English Only), other languages to follow in July.

Pricing is per processor and as Kori said about $2000 for MapGuide
Enterprise, Studio is also available and again as Kori indicated approx
$500 and $95 for a subscription license (not mandatory)

If you want to get the commercial version you can contact Autodesk
resellers
<http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/index?id=1088201&siteID=123112> ,
click on the link to find one, or directly contact Autodesk sales reps,
if you know them.

Slightly,

The MGE server license is $2000 ish and the Studio is $500 ish.

The price is different if you are crossing over from MG 6.5.

We are after Autodesk to find out that cost...

I suppose there isn't a place for the rest of us that are not members to
download these iso's.

Would it be wrong for someone to post them someplace for the rest of us
that want this release?

Andy, were you able to find any information on 'activation' or
'authorizing' MapGuide Enterprise?

I d'loaded and installed the release version from the ADN and choose the
'registered' option during install supplying our ADN serial number.
Once installed, the service failed to start as it could not find a
license...

Re-installed using the eval option, and it works great, but I'm just
curious what the activation/auth process might be.

For those that are Autodesk Dveloper Network (ADN,
http://www.autodesk.com/adn) members, both MapGuide Enterprise 2007 and
MapGuide Studio 2007 are available on the ADN site. They are
downloadable as ISO images.
