[mapguide-users] OSGeo FDO problem...

Oh, I actually thought you were using the OGR provider to access your
MDB also, but either way I was wrong. Anyway, it looks like the problem
must be somewhere in the ODBC provider and not in FDO itself.

ODBC.....I posted the problem first under PostGIS, but them quickly said
that it wasn't actually PostGIS, and that it was ODBC....sorry if you
missed that!

I thought the problem was with PostGIS, that's why I used
that... So the problem actually happens when using an Access DB? Can you
specifically confirm if that happens when using the ODBC provider or the
OGR provider?

Well, all I know is that as soon as I took out the space in the
table name, it fixed it. I'd say that your test should be (to be
consistant with what I did) to make an Access DB...Then make a table
with a space in the name. Then just make 3 fields (a key, a northing and
an easting). Type in some coords (anything should do) and then try to
use that. It should crash as soon as you check "geometry".

Hi Andrew,
I finally had time to look into the OGR/PostGIS problem.
MapGuide worked fine with a table that has a space in its name. My table
was called "world cities" and contained point data. I also tried adding
a simple attribute filter to the layer ("name" > 'L'), and that also
worked fine.
So, there must be something else going on with your
table that's throwing off the SQL. FYI, I created my test table by
importing an shp file into pgsql, not sure if that would make a
difference.

How's this going? Any progress?
