Mapguide in a disconnected environment

I was wondering if anyone out there is currently using Mapguide Open Source 
in a disconnected environment?

We are currently using Mapguide 6.0 (we are looking at changing to the new 
version) on our web-app, but are using Map Objects for our disconnected 
applications.  The disconnected application is mounted in a vehicle and 
displays the position of the vehicle on a map.

I would appreciate any feedback!
