Perfect!
Well, not perfect if I cannot order the sdf results ;-)
But at least I have the answer, and know where to dig for more
capabilities!

Thanks so much Dave.

In case you were wondering what options you can exercise against a
particular feature source you can try the following:

>From http://localhost/mapguide/mapagent/index.html (if you are using
Apache add your port)

Select FeatureServices

Execute GetFeatureProviders

Take the string value from the Name tag and use it to execute
GetCapabilities

The resulting list will tell you what operations, functions etc are
supported by the provider.

The simple answer is no ordering is not supported by SDF.

Regards,
Dave

Subject: [mapguide-users] SetOrderingFilter method on SDF datasource...

Hello all,

I am successfully filtering my feature source, and now I am attempting
to set an order filter but I'm getting the following error msg:

ROOM_NO LIKE 'A2-31%'Feature Service exception - Ordering Option is not
supported by providerFeature Service exception - Ordering Option is not
supported by provider Exception occurred in method
MgServerSelectFeatures.ApplyOrderingOptions at line 410 in file
c:\build_tux_area\mgdev\server\src\services\feature\ServerSelectFeatures
.cpp

Can I not call the SetOrderingFilter method on an SDF datasource?
Any help and/or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
