Digitizing tools

Does anyone have an example of using the digitizing tools:
   
  DigitizePoint
  DigitizeLine
  DigitizePolygon
   
  etc?
   
  I know they involve sending a function as a parameter, and that this parameter has a Point object. However, I cannot get them to work and cannot find any examples of them.
