[mapguide-users] Digitize / Add Point

The sample application does that with the Find Address option from the Task
pane.  It takes a returned lat, lon and draws it on the map as a pushpin
symbol on a new layer.  See the findaddress.aspx page for the code.

I am pretty comfortable working with Mapguide Opensource, viewing data -
working with selections, etc. 

But Does anyone have an example of how to add a point to an existing or new
layer?  Honestly I am not even sure where to begin... I am most comfortable
working with .NET / Javascript
