[mapguide-users] Filters Not Working

It appears that when joining resources if the data is not 1:1 or if
nulls exist in the joined columns you may see this Parameter was not
found error when theming. This is a known defect.

Subject: RE: [mapguide-users] Filters Not Working
I have somewhat the same problem here.
I have 2 access databases. On contains all addresses from a city(
street, housenumber, postal code, x ,y, angle). The other contains 15
points of interest with name, street, housenumber, postal code).
So what I tried to do is load both databases as an ODBC source. Then in
the address source, create a feature join to the objects database on
postal code and house number.
Create a layer and choose the address source. At featureclass choose
Default: New Extension.
Now I try to theme the layer. When choosing (in the theme window at
"create a range of conditions") the property "New
JoinNameOfObjectOfInterest" I will get the error : "Parameter was not
found: New JoinNameOfObjectOfInterest". I get this message twice and the
theming does not work.
If, however, I create a addresses table, with only the addresses in it
of the objects of interest (so 15 addresses), everything works fine! But
this is no use, because then I could also just put the x and y's in the
objects database. This is a no go, because I would like to join some
more "short" tables to the address table and create a theme....

Onderwerp: [mapguide-users] Filters Not Working
While trying to get date-based themes to work, I've come across another
problem (a bug maybe) with Filters. If I enter a condition for a theme
such as Field < AnotherField this works as expected. If the same
condition is put into a Filter on the same layer, no data is displayed.
I'm assuming this means an error has occurred, but no error message is
returned.
The Studio Help suggests that the expression dialog box for the Filter
and Theming is the same, and it makes sense that it would be. So I would
expect a condition to work equally well in both.
Another oddity I've come across is when using the 'Get' button in the
expression dialog box. This should return a list of unique values for
the selected field. However, I get an error message titled 'Unable to
complete request to site' and the message 'Parameter was not found:
Fieldname' when accessing data (via a feature join) in a SQL Server
table. The condition itself does work when used in a theme. However, if
I use the 'Get' button with fields in a different SQL Server table, but
in the same database, I do not get this error message. I can see no
reason for this.
All these types of issue make it a slow and painful process trying to
set up a working application.
Sure would be nice if somebody (especially somebody from Autodesk) could
shine some light on these things...
