[mapguide-users] Linux and raster support?

Frank,
For the KG project, ECW and MrSID support is not needed at this time, only
JPG. Those were just a couple of my own test images from one of my existing
MGOS sites that I was playing around with. I do see support for these
formats being generally important to other users, however, so I'm wondering
if the external components or whatever is needed can be added to subversion
at some point?
Thanks.
Andy

Andy,
I noticed too that Web Studio didn't seem to know about raster extents. I
don't *think* this is a problem with the driver, just an apsect of how
studio works, though I could be wrong.
By default as built in FDO, GDAL does not include ECW and MrSID support. If
you need them for the KG project, I can modify that aspect of the build on
the target machine.
BTW, it might be good to scrub off the old mapguide and fdo components from
the KG machine before installing from SVN. This would avoid duplication and
confusion.
I think this would mostly require the command:
sudo rm -rf /usr/local/fdo-3.1.0 /usr/local/mapguideopensource
sudo rm -rf /usr/local/src/mapguide-1.0.1* /usr/local/src/OpenSource_FDO
Best regards,
