[mapguide-users] WMS groups

You are correct. MapGuide does not currently support groups, and so the
GetCapabilities response never contains nested groups of layers.
However, I was responding to Andy's comment that you could only include
one layer definition in the LAYERS parameter of a GetMap request - you
can, in fact, include multiple layers. For example:

http://localhost:8008/mapguide/mapagent/mapagent.fcgi?REQUEST=GETMAP&SER
VICE=WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&FORMAT=image/png&LAYERS=Samples/Sheboygan/Layers/
Parcels,Samples/Sheboygan/Layers/Roads&BBOX=-87.7398334220901,43.7382269
9224595,-87.72068284176505,43.75068777906662&SRS=EPSG:4326&WIDTH=796&HEI
GHT=717&BGCOLOR=0x0000FF&TRANSPARENT=FALSE 

This request renders the "Roads" layer on top of the "Parcels" layer in
the same map.

I think Johan is referring to nesting WMS layers, so e.g.:

<Layer>
<Name>mygroup</Name>
<Title>my first group</Title>
<Layer>
<Name>mylayer1</Name>
<Title>my first layer</Title>
</Layer>

<Name>mylayer2</Name>
<Title>my second layer</Title>
