[mapguide-users] Opaque Labels in the AJAX viewer vs. the DWF viewer.

You are using 1.0.0. As I said, in that case you should upgrade to the latest build or service pack since there have been some fixes to that code since. There is a 1.0.1 release which should contain the fix.

	I'm working:
	    MapGuide Server (Version 1.0.0.17804)
	    MapGuide Site Administrator (Version 1.0.0.17804)
	    Autodesk MapGuide® Enterprise 2007

I just finished trying: Arial (original), Century, Courier New, Tahoma, Times New Roman, and others, and they all seem about the same.

	Is there an update available?

Fyi Jason, I tried the html break '<br>', and it just prints that the same as '\n'
	Thanks for the suggestion

I remember improving the opaque background code slightly in artifact MG233 to take into account the font descent. So it depends on which version of the code you are working with...
If you are using 1.0.0 I suggest you upgrade to a later build. Otherwise, one simple thing to try would be to use a different font and see if it results in less of a problem. The rendering of the background rectangle in the AJAX viewer is somewhat approximate, since not all information about the font is available to the code that draws the rectangle.
If that fails, consider using ghosted background rather than solid. I know it's not the same, but that's all I can think of that doesn't involve modifying the source code to the font renderer.

	Hello all,

Just wondering if there is a 'fix' or workaround for the problem with Opaque labels in the AJAX viewer?

The opaque block seems to be 'misplaced' above the text... more opaqueness above the text than below the text.

	See the attached image.

	Thanks so much
