[Mapguide_users] IIS Install - Possible only for Default Web Site?

Sorry the WMI provider only works with IIS 6.

You may have to use Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) for XP and
2000 Server:

You could use the WMI provider in either vbscript or a .NET app to read the
configuration and move or replicate it.

Here is a good link (I never did a thorough check so you would have to
review):

I use the WMI to reboot the MapGuide Server if it stops responding.

That's a good thought, just save the one configured under Default Web Site
and then load it into your desired web site. It looks like IIS 5 (Windows
200 and XP) does not have that option, though. It looks like there are some
scripts on the web that will help solve this. It sure would be nice if the
install package detected multiple sites configured under IIS and asked you
which one. I'll add this item (or see if it already is an item) as an
enhancement in Project Tracker.

I know with Windows 2003 server at least, that you can save a virtual
directory configuration into an xml file and create another virtual
directory from that configuration.

1) Right click the virtual directory to replicate, and choose "All Tasks" ->
"Save configuration to a file"

2) Enter the file name to save to and save it.

3) Right click your destination node and choose "New" -> "Virtual Directory
(from file)"

4) Choose the file you just saved and click "Read file"

5) Choose the virtual directory to import.

Hope that helps
