[MapProxy] Shared MapProxy cache

Hi,

I have two layers one with 12 levels and another serving the same data for
the first 12 levels but larger scale data for an additional 2 levels. On a
dev server I'm using relative symlinks to link the 12 levels from the first
layer into the second layers cache directory in an attempt to avoid
duplicating the data and improve performance as the data is being seeded on
request. As yet it seems to be working well and is reasonably straight
forward to set up but I'd like to know if anyone can see any issues or
drawbacks to this approach and if others have taken a different approach?
