[Mapserver-dev] 24-bit backdrops?

Chris,

MapServer 4.0 now uses a 24 bit colour model internally and supports 
output to a variety of formats inlcuding 8 bit and 24 bit formats such 
as PNG, thanks to Frank Warmerdam's work.
