[Mapserver-dev] a simple problem about compiling mapserver on win2k

hi, everyboy
 
         I try to compile mapserver on windows2000.
 
         I have download  regex-0.12.tar.gz, and unzip it to c:/projects/regex-0.12, so I did not compile it to .obj
 
         so when i compile mapserver4.2.0 ,it seems error:
 
regex.obj:error LNK2001:unresolved external symbol _printchar
libmap.dll:fatal error LNK1120:1 unresolved externals
 
     I don't understand why it compile error? Need I compile regex first?
 
    anyone can tell me how to resolve this problem?
 
another question :how to compile regex to regex.obj?
