Steve,

My unit tests are really only to make sure that I don't break things
while I'm developing.  If other developers want to use them it's great,
but like I said at MUM 2 they are not by any measure adequate functional
testing.  For example: they didn't catch any of the bugs that we 
introduced
in 4.2 like the broken template processing.

I don't think that my unit tests have to be run before a release.  I
complained before that I wanted to have a heads up to update the release
number in a couple places, and to HTML-ize the mapscript development
docs.  If I had ssh access to the build machine, I would set up
automatic compilation of HTML docs for the next release.  Any chance I
could get such access?

For now I'll email the docs in another message.
