[Mapserver-dev] creating some default symbols

I didn't see them when looking through the code, at least not in a place
where they would
be generally useful to CGI and MapScript. They should be added when a
symbol set is initialized.
Thanks for the tip though, I'll poke around a bit more...

I'm pretty sure Assefa added this for SLD support so the symbols are 
probably already built in.  I suspect he used names like 
'sld_mark_square' for them, though.  It might be nice if all this 
symbology stuff was consolidated :>
