[Mapserver-dev] change to postgis connector in branch 4.2

Hi,

I saw the commit to mappostgis.c on the #mapserver IRC channel
yesterday.  I'm intrigued and can't wait to try this with the
4.3 version, but I'm worried about adding new bugs to the
stable 4.2 branch.  The work appears to be modeled after the
shared SDE connections, and there have been problems with these

There should at least be an issue in Bugzilla so that we can
discuss the postgis changes?
