Hi Sean,

Yes please :). Going back to the email I sent before
(http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A2=ind0506&L=mapserver-dev&P=R7639&I=-3&X=7
36E6C6FF8F8214D19&Y=m.cave-ayland%40webbased.co.uk), if you manage to write
a proposal then I would be interested in seeing a structure something like
this:

	objects/
		mapobj.c
		layerobj.c
		colorobj.c
		classobj.c
		etc...

	include/
		external/
			mapobj.h
			layerobj.h
			colorobj.h
			classobj.h
			etc...

A lot of cut and pasting would be required, however I believe that
establishing a fixed, external API will help keep mapscript/PHP mapscript
more consistent and even allow the people obsessed with speed to hook in at
the C level :)

If the proposal is accepted by the core, I would be happy to help you out
with doing some of the legwork.

Kind regards,

Mark.
