4.8.0 release tomorrow

Hi,

FYI I am planning to prepare the 4.8.0 release tomorrow morning 
(Thursday) so that Steve has time to package and post it to the website 
sometimes during the day.

Any last minute fixes that need to be backported should wait for 4.8.1 
at this point. You could document known issues in the HISTORY.TXT to be 
included in the release announcement if you think the issues are worth 
mentioning.
