Upgrade to Mapserver 4.8.2

If you are doing embedded legends or scalebars then you would see the timeout problem.
Otherwise there is another issue of some sort...

Hi Sture,

I think the developers found a bug in 4.8.2 and will be releasing  
4.8.3 immediately.  It may be that your problem is related to this.
