My main concern with this is the accumulation of those files over time. 
Maybe the migration guide should move out of the source tree and become 
part of official docs anyway?

For now, I have added some contents to the current file in trunk so that 
we can move on with the beta release announcement, with the 
understanding that we will try to find a better solution before the 
final release:

So please keep the suggestions coming. Jeff: what would you think of 
moving migration guides for various releases to the official docs?
