I just thought I would put in my two cents on creating collars.



Label
	...
	Buffer 20 #absolute minimum buffer
	collar #first collar
		minDistance 20  #starting distance of the collar
		maxDistance 60  #ending distance of the collar
		maxFeatures 3 #number of features that can be labeled within
the collar -EG allow "Bloomington" to be labeled near "Minneapolis"
	end #End first collar
	collar #Second collar
		minDistance 60 #starting distance of the second collar
		maxDistance 180 #ending distance of the second collar
		maxFeatures 5 #number of features allowed in the second
collar
		#Allow label priorities - for example allow some road shields
near larger cities
		minPriority 3
		maxPriority 5
	end #second collar
End Label
