Damn, missed that last argument. I'll obviously wait for your (or Frank's) feedback... An explicit result set id may do the trick.

Identical except for the last argument to msOGRFileGetShape() which is
the one that triggers the global vs resultset mode.

few minutes for my first skidoo weekend of the season: gotta go check
