[mapserver-dev] configure in repository

Hi all,
is it intentional for 'configure' script to be in
the repository ? I ask `cause I'm trying to fix
a linking problem (see ticket #3316) but found
the current configure.in not resulting in a correct
'configure' after an 'autoconf' run.

The usual way to go is only having 'configure.in'
in the repository and providing an 'autogen.sh'
script checking compatibility of generator tools
and running them in the correct order...
