I've just start a Cloud project
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloud_computing) in which I need to put
GIS software on different nodes, to be used by decentral agencies for
their historical maps. One of the targets is to provide a setup-path for
the software. I'll make the documentation available as soon as I have a
working solution (a month or so). It won't be the last word for every
situation, but it could give people some pointers on how to organise
things in a systematic way. Getting all dependencies right can be a bit
hairy.
