[mapserver-dev] text rendering: performance, wrapping, alignment

Devs,
I've just opened ticket 3611 [1] that outlines some refactoring I'd
think would be beneficial for how mapserver renderers labels. I'd
imagine that this will probably require an RFC, so I'd welcome any
comments or ideas from you regarding the question before starting
that.

ps: I'm not particularly aiming for 6.0 on this one, I think 6.x would
be better so as not to delay the release.
