Folks,

I have made some revisions to the RFC based on previous feedback.  I
have also added a mechanism for automatic discover of field types, widths
and precisions from feature sources so that outputs can easily be properly
created.  I have prototyped most of what is in the RFC already and would
like to checkin and complete the work if/when the RFC is passed.
