[mapserver-dev] Legend graphics (with Imagemaps . . .?)

I have tried HTML legends, a little too complicated for my taste.   But after all, the legend graphic is just another map image, seems like it should be easy to make a Imagemap for it.

Is it possible to build a imagemap for a legend graphic?  I suppose I could build a legend the long way round with inline features and make this happen, just wondering out loud right now, can a TEMPLATE be used in the LEGEND block for example.
